This page sets out the rules our editors follow. They exist so that a reader can trust that a deal on NXT.Deals is real, current and chosen on merit.
1. Verification before publication
No deal is published until an editor has opened the retailer's page, confirmed the price or discount, tested any coupon code where a test is possible without purchase, and noted any conditions (minimum spend, regions, exclusions). The date of that check is shown on the deal.
2. No invented discounts
A “was” price or a percentage saving appears only when the retailer displays it or when we hold a dated observation of the higher price ourselves. If we cannot substantiate a reference price we show the current price alone.
3. Dated prices
Every price in our comparison tables carries the date it was observed. Prices are gathered from retailer listings by our sourcing tools and are refreshed on a schedule; a price that could not be re-checked recently is still shown with its original date rather than silently kept “fresh”.
4. Expiry and removal
Deals expire automatically at the end date the retailer gives. Deals that readers report as dead are re-checked within one business day and removed if they no longer work. Expired deals are not indexed by search engines.
5. Independence
Editors choose deals on the basis of the saving and the usefulness to readers. Commission rates are not shown to the editors who select deals. Retailers and brands cannot pay for a listing, a position or a favourable description, and do not see content before it is published. Where a retailer offers us an exclusive code we say so on the deal.
6. Guides and AI assistance
Guides are written or edited by named editors and reviewed for accuracy before publication. We may use AI tools to draft or tidy text; a person checks every published claim, and guides are marked with their author and publication date. Facts we cannot verify are removed rather than published.
7. Corrections
We correct errors promptly and note material corrections on the affected page. To report one, use the contact form.
8. Prohibited content
We do not list deals for products that are illegal where the site is read, counterfeit goods, weapons, tobacco or vaping products, gambling, adult content, or anything targeted at children. We do not use domains or branding that imitate a retailer's.
